Time to Change ?

Es ist mal wieder Zeit für eine neue Studie und das bedeutet für mich, das ich aktuelle Hardware bekomme und mich in nächster Zeit wieder mehr mit Ubuntu beschäftigen kann.

Ein Umstand, der mich natürlich sehr freut. Meine letzte Ubuntu Hardware war eine minimal Ausrüstung im unteren Preisbereich gewesen und diesmal habe ich erheblich mehr Finanzmittel zur Verfügung. Es wird auf jedenfalls ein I7 Notebook mit 8 Gb RAM werden. Eventuell mit SSD aber mal sehen was ich bekommen kann.

Also wird es in nächster Zeit wieder mehr Linux und Ubuntu im Blog geben aber auch weiterhin Mac OSX, iPad, iPhone.

BlueGriffon der HTML5 Editor für alle Systeme

BlueGriffon ist ein recht netter (Freeware) HTML5 Editor für Mac, Linux und Windows. Der Editor selbst ist kostenlos, kann aber durch kostenpflichtige AddOns erweitert werden. Wenn man es genau nimmt, kostet der HTML Editor mit AddOns dann doch 35,- €. Mann kommt auch ohne die zusätzlichen AddOns aus !

Praktisch an dem Editor ist, das man direkt in der Preview Ansicht Texte / Bilder etc. bearbeiten kann, der Editor merkt sich wo der Cursor steht und zeigt genau die Stelle wieder an, wenn in den Quelltest gewechselt wird und umgekehrt. Das Arbeite mit dem Editor macht richtig Spaß und der Quelltext ist sehr gut lesbar.

BlueGriffon ist einer der besten kostenlosen HTML Editoren, die ich kenne, er ist erweiterbar und kann auf die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse angepasst werden. Ich habe hier die Neue Version 1.4 verwendet, die eigentlich noch Beta ist. Trotzdem ist diese Version stabiler als die Version 1.3.1. Neben einigen Bugfixes gibt es in der 1.4er Version etliche Neuerungen:

To enable that, open the Preferences, select the Advanced panel and open the configuration editor. Right-click in the main area and select New > Boolean. Darktable book final ….

Über Darktable habe ich ja schon des öfteren berichtet, jetzt gibt es endlich ein Handbuch, was alle Funktionen sehr gut erklärt. Besonders der Teil, der die Bearbeitung von RAW Bildern beschreibt ist mehr als interessant und gibt so einige Beispiele, wie sich die einzelnen Filter auswirken.

Darktable spielt in der gleichen Liega wie Apple Aperture bzw. Adobes Lightroom mit einem großen Unterschied, Darktable ist OpenSource.

Tip: Vor der Verwendung des Programms auf jeden Fall vorher das Handbuch lesen !!

LaTex Draw .. PS-Tricks ..

Das richtige Tool zur richtigen Zeit. Nachdem ich mein Macbook in der Firma auch wieder mit Ubuntu 11.10 “verfeinert” habe, kann ich endlich wieder die besonderen Linux Tools für LaTeX verwenden.

Ich musste am eben schnell ein recht kompliziertes Diagramm mit Daten erstellen und dieses dann in eine LaTeX Dokumentation einbinden. Mit Latexdraw geht das sehr schnell. Die neue Version kann jetzt noch mehr und ist schon sehr stabil, das besondere ist, das man Grafiken und Diagramme schrittweise Kippen kann. Das Endprodukt kann als Grafik oder PS-Tricks (LaTeX) gespeichert werden.

Gimp 2.7 wird anders, besser, schneller ..

Gimp 2.7 wird erstmal ein Fenster haben und nicht wie vorher mehrere Fenster. Ein Wunsch, der jetzt endlich umgesetzt wird. Das ist aber nicht die einzige Änderung, die mit Gimp 2.7 kommen wird. Es gibt viele Verbesserungen unter der Motorhaube und das Design der Werkzeuge wird sich auch etwas ändern. Gerade für B/W “Artisten” gibt es einen Perfekten neuen Filter, was mich besonders freut.  Hier noch die weiteren Neuerungen (Kurzfassung):

File Formats:
